South Jerrabomberra – Construction Update – August 2020
Work on the Northern Entry Road (Environa Drive) is well progressed. Village is constructing the bridge over Jerrabomberra Creek and the section of the road from the bridge heading South to the residential area at South Jerrabomberra. Queanbeyan Palerang Regional Council are managing the section of road from the bridge heading North to the connection with Tompsitt Drive.
All piling works and the southern abutment wall of the bridge are now complete. The formation of the road has been widened to cater for intersections with the Regional Sports Centre and the future business and industrial areas at North Tralee. Construction of Environa Drive is expected to be completed early next year.
Work has now commenced on the low- and high-level reservoirs and the sewer pump station. In-ground pipework is also well underway.
Major earthworks to install sewerage, water, electricity and services across Release Area 1 is nearing completion. Concrete kerb and footpaths are well progressed. Village is working to achieve subdivision certificates and registration of titles allowing for settlement within Release Area 1 by mid-2021.
Canberra Contractors have commenced bulk earthworks across Release Area 2 in order to deliver another 275 dwellings.
