Woodlinks - Construction Update - August

5 August 2019

We sent our drone up last month to capture all the progress taking place at Woodlinks. Construction of the Parklands Release is coming together well. Our Civil Contractor has just completed installing the internal sewerage, stormwater drainage and water reticulation. Retaining walls are currently being constructed and the road box has been excavated and trimmed, making way for the foundations of the future roads. Electrical works are due to commence in mid-August, with the asphalt, footpaths, landscaping and finishing works to follow. We are currently on track to lodge for plan sealing late August and anticipate titles in September.

Woodlinks Rehabilitation Works

Alongside the construction of the Parklands Release, we have also been busy carrying out rehabilitation works along the Goodna Creek corridor which borders Woodlinks Village to the east. Environmental consultants and contractors have been engaged to conduct weed removal and ongoing management, rubbish removal and extensive revegetation planting. The focus for new planting and recruitment of regrowth species has been to provide an enhanced habitat outcome for native fauna and provide a green backdrop for the Woodlinks community. Extensive Koala tree planting has been carried out in existing open areas above the creek banks and existing trees have been encouraged by removing competing weed species. In some sections weed infestation was so thick that the creek line was difficult to locate. After recent works, we’re delighted to see the creek running again.

It’s great to see our Woodlinks residents getting out, active and making the most of this nature corridor. It’s one of the many reasons why our community love calling Woodlinks Home.
